Aquanauts Sees 5 New Open Water and 2 New IDC Staff Instructors in December

After taking November off to run our intern trip to the Philippines, tech, rebreather and other special courses, Aquanauts returned to action for instructor training in December with five interns passing their Instructor Development Course and Instructor Exam and two more instructors advancing to the IDC Staff Instructor level.

Congratulations to new OWSIs Catherine “Cat” Glashier, Charlotte “Charlie” Winter-Taylor, Scott Clark, David Schwiering and Ian Atkins; and to new IDC Staff Instructors Meg Smith and Simon Rathbone.

The December IDC also brings the 2007 instructor training year to a close with some prety amazing results. Aquanauts sent 37 interns to the PADI insturctor exam in 2007 and 36 of them passed in their first attempt. That translates to a 97.3% first-attempt pass rate for the year. The one intern who didn’t pass on his first try did on a second attempt. That’s why, with such results, Aquanauts is the only internship program in Central Thailand to offer a written guarantee that if you take and follow our program, you’ll pass your IE the first time you take it.
