Unlike many dive operators in Pattaya and Thailand, Aquanauts Dive Centre owns and operates its own customized dive boat, ensuring our customers have the largest, most-modern and most-comfortable vessel for a full day out diving and snorkeling the area’s wrecks and coral reefs.
At 26 meters long, the Aquanauts boat boasts three decks: Our dedicated dive decks, a sun deck and our dry deck, which boats all padded benches and sofas from bow to stern, a half-dozen large, sturdy tables for eating and studying, a full galley and more.
Aquanauts isn’t one of those dive operators that rush you out and back as quickly as possible. With us, the emphasis is on a complete fun, relaxing day out. Diving and snorkeling are why you’re going, but they’re only part of the overall experience. On the Aquanauts boat, you have have the time and space to enjoy the voyage around the Near and Far Islands, have a hot, freshly cooked meal and even work on your tan.
Unlike other dive boats in Pattaya, you’re not sitting in low, flimsy hammock chairs. You’ve got water-resistant, padded sofas and benches. And you’re not eating a cold meal on your lap.
Enjoy the Thai and Western buffet and sit down on proper chairs at proper tables — screwed into the deck — to dine. The comfort extends to the facilities. We’ve got two western-style restrooms with toilet and sink as well as two freshwater showers.
And, as noted, the Aquanauts boat is big. We can comfortably support 35-40 divers without you feeling crowded. The entire seating area is covered, so you don’t have to worry about sunburn or rain dampening your day. Also, both decks are treated with slip-proof texturing to prevent falls. All new electrical wiring also allows the entire boat to be lit at night for those noctural dives and the ride home.
Here’s more detail about all the features of the Aquanauts dive boat:
Sun Deck : Not everyone wants to spend the day underwater or under the roof. Sun worshipers can go topside to the sun deck on the roof. Access is via wide, solid steps with a railing and railing surrounds the entire sun deck area.
Galley: Aquanauts cooks multi-course Thai and Western meals in an enclosed, on-board galley. Also, the boat offers free, cold bottled water and soft drinks are also available.
The Dive Deck
Of course, a good dive boat is judged most by its dive facilities and the Aquanauts boat has plenty of those. Our lower dive deck runs the full-length of the boat, with a large, twin-ladder platform at the stern and equipment storage and showers at the bow. In between, you’ll find 100 tanks, an on-board compressor, an assortment of weights and belts, spare equipment should you need something and, of course, our friendly boat crew to assist you.
Best of all, it’s wide and easy to navigate, even with fins on. You won’t find any obstacles or obstructions , so you won’t be stumbling over things just go get your gear together and in the water.
On-board tanks and compressor: Unlike some dive operators in Pattaya, at Aquanauts you don’t have to haul your tanks on and off the boat. We keep 100 of them on board and pump all our air and even nitrox right on board.
Dive Platform: As a dedicated dive boat, Aquanauts’ vessel offers a spacious dive platform ensures a safe entry for every dive. Treated with a non-slip surface and featuring two access points and two ladders, you’ll never have to cue up just to get in or out of the water.
Equipment Storage: The bow of the deck features a locked storage cabin with lines to hang out wet gear. So if you’re diving more than one day with us, you can keep your gear on board overnight and you’ll know it will be safe. Our captain even lives on the board to stand guard!
Medical kit: While uncommon, emergencies can still happen and we’re prepared. Not only are you fully insured while on board the boat, we have full first aid and emergency oxygen kits. We even stock sea-sickness pills for those with queasy stomachs!
