PADI Night Diver Specialty Course

In scuba diving, the real fun starts after dark!

Come meet creatures you’ve never seen during the daylight hours and learn how to navigate and dive when the only place you can see is what’s under the light of your torch.

Even dive sites you’ve done a hundred times take on a new personality at night, as many underwater creatures and plant life tat sleep or are closed during daylight hours are active at night.

Of course, it takes special skills to appreciate all the nighttime has to offer, and to see it safely. In the Aquanauts PADI Night Diver course, you’ll learn night-dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems. You’ll also learn how to control your buoyancy, navigate and communicate at night. Since many of the plants and animals you’ll see are different, you’ll also get an introduction to nocturnal aquatic life.

Prerequisites & Requirements

• PADI Open Water or Junior Open Water Diver
• At least 12 years old
• PADI Night Diver manual

What Next?

Your Adventures In Diving Night Adventure Dive may count towards the Night Diver Specialty course at instructor discretion. In addition, the Night Diver Specialty course counts as one of five Specialty courses required for your Master Scuba Diver certification.
